Mecena
Brand identity
With 40 years of experience in public relations, Serge Paquette decided in 2023 to launch himself full-time into the Quebec philanthropy community and share his expertise in the service of social impact
Thus, he called on Qolab to realize his vision for his new project, which is now called Mecena.
Derived from the word "mécène," this name reflects Serge Paquette’s mission: to share his expertise in public relations with non-profit organizations.
The next step was to create a visual identity that was corporate enough to reflect the level of expertise that Mecena offers, but warm enough to convey the kindness of the person behind the project.
From there came the idea of a rounded typography for the logo, where all the letters are the same size. A small yellow smile incorporated into the "c" enhances a sober colour palette, while adding a human touch. Not to mention, of course, Serge Paquette's initials subtly integrated into the slogan "Inspired Philanthropy."
After the visual identity: the development of the brand. A launch video was created, in which Serge tells the story of the journey that led him to create his philanthropy consulting firm and describes his mission. The video can be found on mecenasp.ca, a website created in collaboration with Elmire.
